Logic 12 sound content downloads to internal drive, even when relocated to external drive

Sound library relocated to external drive, when downloading additional sound content it save to the internal drive but I can't find where.

Please see details below:

OSX Tahoe / Logic 12

Hi all, I have a bit of a weird one and would appreciate some advice. Logic has been working fine on OSX Sequoia. I took the plunge and upgraded to Tahoe and the new Logic 12 and all my plugins and hardware is working fine which I was pleasantly surprised by. I noticed that in the Logic sounds library there were some new sounds that could be downloaded. I had about 70GB free on my internal HD. So I took the following steps:

  1. I went to Logic settings, located the sounds file and moved the sounds file (86GB) to an external hard drive
  2. Then in the same setting dialogue I located the new moved sounds file on my external hard drive and set the external hard drive as my new location.
  3. I then deleted the sounds file from the internal hard drive. It showed that I had saved only a few GB. I did however expect the saving to be around 86GB but it was around 10GB even when I restarted
  4. Tested Logic and all was working fine.
  5. I then went back into logic check the location was still set to the external hard drive. Confirmed.
  6. Then I attempted to download all the additional sounds

This is where things started to go weird. As the sounds were downloading I eventually noticed that the external drive capacity was going down as bit as the new sounds downloaded. However alarmingly the Internal drive went down from around 80GB to 20GB. I managed to cancel many of the other sounds downloading but it eventually made my internal drive capacity go down to 10GB!

Ive searched in all these locations to try to find where logic was downloading the files to so I can delete them, but I can't find them:

/Library/Application Support/Logic/Samples

/Library/Audio

~/Music/Audio Music Apps/Samples

~/Music/

~/Users/*USER NAME*/library/Application Support/Logic

~/Users/*USER NAME*/library/Audio

Finally I have gone into logic manage sounds and deleted all of the sound packs from the audio sound manager . However this only deleted the ones from the external HD. The ones downloaded after moving to the external HD must still be existing on the internal HD as I still only have 10GB left, but I can't find them!

I read somewhere that logic downloads the sound install packages somewhere but I couldn't find on the internet where this location is. Somewhere there is about 70GB-80GB of files that I want to delete. I just cant find them.

I tried to be detailed but if Ive missed anything please let me know and I can provide more details.

Any help to resolve this issue would be really appreciated.
