New 'Apps' feature in Tahoe does not allow user to organise apps

Before I upgraded to Tahoe, I had all of my apps in the app folder, organised in a manner which made sense to me, and sub-grouped into folders when needed. Now they are all discombobulated in a single window, impossible to organise and I can't find anything. I do not go by the name, I go by the function ; this is incredibly annoying. Is there ANY way to revert to a customised folder and get rid of the new style ?

Launchpad is not available in macOS 26 Tahoe. Instead, Apple has replaced it with a Spotlight-based application library similar to that on iOS. By default, the Apps app replaced the Launchpad app in your Dock (if it was there). macOS organizes the apps, you cannot manually sort them. To have Apple consider your feedback on this issue, submit it here:

A possible workaround might be a 3rd party app, such as AppGridLauncher app (Mac App Store link) or https://www.launchie.app/.
