Notifications for Messages on my iPhone 15 Pro Max randomly go silent

Notifications for Messages on my iPhone 15 Pro Max randomly go silent. They'll be working for a period of time (after I try a couple things, like restarting my phone or resetting network settings or forcing the Messages app to close) and then, no sound.

If I wake up my phone, I can see on the lock screen that I have text messages, but I receive no sound letting me know they came in. I've tried everything to fix this issue, including: checking to make sure I don't have anything silenced, restarting my phone (regular way and a forced restart), resetting my network settings, resetting all my phone settings, turning the notification sound off then on, etc.

I'm using the latest version of IOS (26.2.1), but this issue has been ongoing since sometime in the IOS 18 era.

It's so frustrating because it negates one of the main uses for this phone, which I spent a lot of money on! The rest of my family all have iPhone SEs and they work perfectly, but here I am with my snazzy phone, that I chose for the camera, and a simple thing like text notifications doesn't work properly.

Any insight or help on this issue would be greatly appreciated!
