Unable to Verify Update on iPhone
Message received when trying to update iPhone 8 Model A1905 applying iOS 16.7.13.
I am connected to WiFi.
Storage used 18.8 GB of 64 GB.
I have deleted a number of Apps to ensure free space.
I have restarted the device.
What are my next steps?

To the best of my knowledge, Apple has not, as of 9 AM Eastern time in US, re-released an updated version. The old version was removed by Apple. When it is re-released you’ll need to delete the old version if downloaded, restart your device, and download the new version, when available. It may not be until early next week before an updated version is available.

To delete the old version.....
Tap Settings
Tap General
Tap iPhone Storage
Scroll down to locate and tap to select the iOS 16.7.13 file
Tap Delete

When you say "delete the old version" please could you elaborate on how.
I have looked on the iPhone and cannot see where the update is stored or how to delete a pending update.
Am I missing something here or will the next release simply override 16.7.13 ?
