iPod Classic Not Playing in New Car With USB-C Adapter

I have an iPod classic that I have used in my car to play

music through its Apple 30-pin to USB cable. However, I recently purchased a

new car that does not have either an Aux or USB port. It only has a USB C port.

I purchased a USB C to USB adapter, but for some reason the car does not recognize

the device. How can I get my iPod classic to play in my new car? Please and
