How to download the Final Cut Pro X free trial

At present it appears that Apple has discontinued the Final Cut Pro free trial download.

However, Final Cut Pro is included in the Apple Creator Studio free trial. The way it works is you need to sign up for the monthly subscription and then the first month is free. At the end of the month you can cancel the monthly subscription or continue it at $12.99/month.

Note there is some confusion about the free trial period. The Apple website currently says it is 3 months with the purchase of a new Mac or iPad; otherwise 1 month. But there are reports that the 3 month free trial is being offered with all new subscriptions. At present the only way to find out would be to set up a trial subscription and verify the free trial period before actually completing the subscription.
