Why can't we enlarge Apple pages (e.g., Settings) for easier reading?

On Apple pages such as Settings and others, why are Apple products unable to enlarge the screen contents? Virtually any other time that's available on all sites, etc. For those with less than perfect eyes we're accustomed to being able to spread my fingers on the pad to enlarge the script. With Apple pages I'm back to looking for my glasses. How about giving us oldsters a hand?

The ability to change the size of the Pages Settings panel is prevented by the Pages product team design choice. Your terminology "sites" does not apply to these compiled Settings panels — they are not web-based and the fonts are of a fixed size.

Use your computer prescription glasses in combination with the System Settings > Displays panel adjustments for text size.
