Where can I fix iPad iPad for cheap? (USA)

Where to fix my iPad for cheap?

you see I dropped my iPad on the corner and the screen cracked but it dosent turn on AT ALL, it still buzzes, vibrates, but you can’t see the screen. Apple said tha the repairmen would be around $500 just for a screen replacement, so are there any ways I can get it for cheaper or maybe even for free (kinda delusional). It’s an iPad Air 5th generation from 2022 with the M1 chip

iPad Air, iPadOS 17

Your iPad screen is the single most expensive component of the iPad. You simply won't find a "cheap" repair.

For practical purposes, in lieu of repairing and returning your own iPad, Apple usually exchange the iPad for a renewed/refurbished iPad of the same model and specification. The cost of the exchange is the same as would otherwise be charged for repair. Unless you have benefit of an active AppleCare plan, an out-of-warranty repair while expensive will be somewhat less than the cost of a replacement iPad.

As for out-of-warranty repair costs, Apple offers a fixed-price price repair. You can verify eligibility and cost for your region/country here:

iPad Repair & Service - Apple Support

If you have an active AppleCare+ plan, the cost of repair is reduced to a small excess/deductible fee.

I don't know how much storage you have – or whether that's a Wi-Fi + Cellular model – but if the damage is so extensive that it will cost at least $500 to repair, it might make more sense to buy another iPad.

Current iPad Airs use the M3 chip, and it appears that there are both M2 iPad Airs and M3 iPad Airs in the U.S. Apple Certified Refurbished store. If there was a M3 iPad Air in the Certified Refurbished store which had the configuration that you wanted, that would likely be an easy way to save ~15% off the new price.
