Scammers blocked my iPhone

Scammers have blocked my iPhone and I don't have an official apple receipt, only from a local store.

The receipt contains all the information about the purchase.

We don't have an official Apple support or anything like that.

What should I do?

Learn from this experience, and never log into a stranger's Apple Account on any of your future iPhones or other Apple devices. No matter what sob stories you are told, or what goodies you are promised.

Without an official receipt from Apple or an Apple Authorized Reseller, there is no chance of convincing Apple to remove the Activation Lock. Even if you had the receipt, chances are that the scammer placed your iPhone into Lost Mode, in which case Apple would not remove the Activation Lock even with the receipt.

It would be very unwise to pay the scammer extortionists, as they would probably just demand more and more payments, and there would be no guarantee of them ever releasing the phone.

Basically, you might as well recycle the phone at this point. You're going to need to buy another one.

There is nothing you can do now. I have never seen anybody say Apple accepted a receipt that wasn't one from an Apple authorized dealer. Even if you had a receipt that Apple would accept, Apple will not reset a device with Lost Mode set on it which the scammers have almost certainly set.

Refer to How to remove Activation Lock - Apple Support There are only two ways to remove a lock, neither of which are available to you. Regard this as a lesson learned to not sign into a device with an account that is not yours.

If, by any chance, you are thinking about buying a used iPhone to replace this one, see:

If you want to buy a preowned iPhone - Apple Support

Buying a used iPhone can often be a way to be scammed by someone selling a stolen, Activation-Locked "brick"; and again, in those situations, Apple will not remove the Activation Lock.
