Old spinning drives with older operating systems saved time by only erasing the pointer to a file, and they didn't erase the file until the space was needed, later. So data recovery made some sense, then, if you got there quickly enough. But none of that is true with modern solid state drives and new OSs.

I am going through a similar situation but with backups. Try a third-party recovery app that you must dowload on your computer in attempts to recover.
Permanent means permanent. No recovery is possible. You’ll need to restore from your backups.
