Can't sign in to Fox News comments on iPad/iPhone

New iPad with M5 chip. iPad OS 26.2.1 (Same problem on my iPhone 17 Pro.) I am using Safari & access both Fox News & Yahoo through Safari, Edge For Yahoo but not sure what browser Fox News app uses.. Same results using WiFi or Cellular. (note: If I don't go through Safari but access Fox News by searching through Chrome my problem goes away on the iPhone but still exists on the iPad.)

**PROBLEM: I CANNOT SIGN IN TO RESPOND IN THE COMMENT SECTION OF FOX NEWS. If I click on the "sign in to post message" or the message box they are dead, nothing happens, I CAN sign into the comment section of Yahoo on the Pad/ phone & make comments. I CAN sign into the comment section of Fox News & make comments on my Desktop. I CAN sign in to Fox News comments on my iPhone by first finding it through Chrome but can't do the same with iPad.

**What have I done: Cleared iPad cache for all dates, cleared Chrome history for all dates. Restarted iPad. This usually helps to get to a point where I get a Lets be sure It is you code, I put it in, it says I am logged into Fox News but when I get to the Fox News Comment area it is the same unresponsive Dead comment log in process.

**Has anyone seen this issue before? Suggestions?

Therein lies your likely problem...

If you have a VPN App or profiles installed, or a security App such as Norton, these may be interfering with your iPad's network connection. Norton (and similar security Apps) will install a network proxy - through which your network traffic will be routed. This proxy connection can [and often does] cause issues.

Disabling or completely removing VPN or the offending security App may be necessary - followed by a device restart - to restore normal connectivity. If this resolves your issue, it may then be possible to reinstall the VPN or security App.

If you continue to have difficulties, check to see if your iPad is using the new WiFi Private Address feature. This feature is intended to provide additional privacy and security when using “public” (untrusted) WiFi networks.

Settings > WiFi > [Your WiFi Network / SSID] - tap the “i” icon - Private Address

The Private Address feature is largely unnecessary for your home WiFi network; if enabled, Private Addressing can cause issues if specific MAC addresses are expected by your WiFi Router. You may need to disable this feature - and can be enabled or disabled for each individual network.
