You can shut down and restart and compare your results

>Shut Down

A SafeBoot Start up your Mac in safe mode - Apple Support will sort many anomalies

Login and test. Reboot as normal and test. Caches get rebuilt automatically.

Verify your devices are up to date...

Note: If you leave Bluetooth or Wi-Fi range after an AirDrop transfer is initiated, the transfer continues over the internet.

AirDrop on macOS Tahoe:

A. What is your macOS version? macOS 26.2.1 has update for AirDrop.

  1. Go Here: What's new in the updates for macOS Tahoe - Apple Support
  2. Scroll to: This update also includes the following enhancements and bug fixes
  3. As it Reads: AirDrop codes offer an additional layer of verification when using AirDrop with unknown contacts by providing a code on the receiver’s device that the sender must enter to complete the transfer

B. How to Find Out the Installed Version:

  1. Go to: Apple menu
  2. Select: System Settings...
  3. Select: General
  4. Select: About
  5. View: macOS Pane

C. How to Update:

So, backup your Mac with Time Machine Backup. Then, perform the update installation. Then, back up with Time Machine Backup, once the update has complete. In doing so, you'll have something to store your Mac from, should anything go wrong during or after the update.
