Login to 2023 IMAC desktop

Check the keyboard icon in the top right corner to make sure it is the right one for your language, e.g. US for English

Generally speaking, your Mac can't change the login password by itself.

Reboot and try again, or try a different keyboard.

Mechanical failure is more likely than a spontaneous change of password.
