That screen does not show the phone asking for the password. It appears to be offering you the chance to set up the "iPhone 5" using Quick Start.

According to what I'm reading, Quick Start requires at least iOS 11. None of the "iPhone 5" models except for the iPhone 5s can update past iOS 10. So is what you have there really an iPhone 5s?
