Default to Safari for links instead of apps on iPhone/iPad

I can’t figure out how to open links in Safari instead of opening apps, on iPhone and iPad. I want to make this a default behavior, not do it each time I tap on a link somewhere. I’ve done a Google search on how to do this, and the suggestions won’t help. For example, one solution is to long press on a link and choose to open it in the browser instead of the installed app that handles it. But that is something that needs to be done every time. Also, I saw a solution that says to set Safari as the default app. It already is set, so it doesn’t make a difference. Links are still opening in the associated apps.

For example: I want to open YouTube links in a Safari tab that goes to YouTube.com, not open the YouTube app. Same for links that point to a Google site. And so forth. Every time, no long pressing links.

Is there a way to do this?
