2020 Macbook pro no longer can use ext monitor after tahoe update

I upgraded to Tahoe on a 2020 macbook pro 13. Now nothing hooks up to run my external monitor. tried new cables. new displaylink port. nothing. Chat is saying its a known problem and Apple isnt fixing it. Has anyone figured it out yet

Try uninstalling Displaylink software and connect the monitor directly to the Mac port.

What make and model is the DisplayLink..?

What make and model is the External Display..?

Like Barney-15E suggests, I would try by-passing the DisplayLink.
