MS Office docs compatibility with Apple Tahoe

Just updated my Mac Mini to Tahoe, now the Office documents last saved in MS Office 2016 no longer have the Activated License so they cannot be edited nor printed. Since Apple is now using their Silicone processor instead of Intel, will the later MS Office releases be compatible with Apple? Jim

Mac mini, macOS 26.2

Support for Office 2016 ended in 2020.

The license is not tied to the documents. It is tied to the office apps.

Current versions of Microsoft Office, both standalone and subscription, are compatible with Tahoe.

The free web based versions of the office apps will also work just fine.
