Desparate for an alternative to Music.app
The folly of "Music" on my Mac!?! Can someone recommend how I could get a modern app that would bring back the iTunes experience I used to have on MacOS?
Look at my screen shot to see how bad "Music" is:
The key points from this screen shot: the app considers your online purchases as "my library," not the local files you specified in the Music Settings. As you can see, I tried searching for a title in "My Library," but it couldn't find it, even though the player shows it's playing. You have to click on the "Library" sidebar to select the localized library, which in of itself is a pain, but even doing so doesn't engage any indexing, etc.
Other problems:
- Failing support of localized libraries on external devices.
- Wifi synching with other Apple devices.
- Poor cross-referencing of album art, sometimes even overwriting manual settings.
