How can I remove "Games" App from menu bar in the upper right corner of MacOS 26.2? It's frustrating to see something I never enabled appearing automatically. Settings -> Menu Bar -> "Allow in the Menu Bar" does have this "Games" App

It's not listed in Settings on my Macs. Try holding the Command key and dragging it out. If that doesn't work, try booting into Safe Mode then restart normally. Sometimes that will fix anomalies.

The icon is the same as the Games app, but when it shows up in the Menu Bar it's a toggle control for Game Mode, which is not synonymous with the Games app.
Looks like it’s indeed game mode. It’s confusing. When I left click it, it opens game app, instead of gaming overlay or control center setting.
Actually this is MacBook with Intel and Game mode is unavailable.
