Face ID unavailable on iPhone after network outage
I’m experiencing an issue with Face ID on my iPhone and would appreciate your guidance.
Due to a prolonged network outage in my region, my device was unable to maintain stable internet access for about almost 2 weeks. During this time, Face ID stopped working properly. I reset Face ID hoping it would resolve the issue, but now when I try to set it up again, I receive the message: “Face ID is currently unavailable.”
Important details:
- The Face ID option is still visible in Settings and not grayed out
- The TrueDepth camera activates and scanning begins
- The setup fails with the same message every time
- The device is fully updated and otherwise functioning normally
- The device has not been hit or damaged in any way, it does not heat up, the protective glass is clean and does not create any obstacles for the camera, the Apple account is intact and has no problems.
It has been over a week since stable internet access was restored, but the issue persists.
Could you please advise whether this is a known issue related to network interruptions or security synchronization, and if there are any recommended steps to restore Face ID functionality?
Thank you for your time and support.
