Wired keyboard not recognized on Mac mini setup

I just bought a Mac Mini and am unable to set up as the keyboard isn’t being recognized. Although, it is a wired keyboard. I have used an adapter from USB to USC, plugged in to USC port on front. Everything I have read says that the wired keyboard should work. Any suggestions? What am I doing wrong?

Hi,

To fix a wired keyboard not recognized on a Mac mini, immediately try plugging it into a different USB port (preferably on the back) and restart the machine, as this often forces recognition. If using a USB-C adapter, ensure it is high-quality, as many aftermarket hubs fail on M4 models.
