Music app songs overlap after update

Ever since the update to 26 my music doesn’t play correctly. A song will be playing and before it ends the next one starts and they jumble together. I’ve tried restarting the phone and reinstalling the app. Nothing fixes it. At first I thought it was only happening using CarPlay but it does it when I’m playing music just on my phone too.
