Backtracking in QuickTime Player:
Quick Time Player can't backtrack, nor can It forward track. Using the Help Menu or the app, you can see what is provided. Relatively speaking, you can loop the file being played, using these three keys: Option-Command-L.
Eleswise, you can:
- Burn the files to a Music CD-R disk for playing MP3 files
- Creating an app through AppleScript, having it open QuickTime Player, and then proceed from there.
- Creating VLC file.
