You don't. It's extremely likely you were scammed and purchased a stolen phone.

Take it to the police and give them all the information you have on the seller.

Here’s the situation:

  1. You purchased a used iPhone from an unknown individual (not a reputable company like Apple)
  2. The seller blocked you because it’s stolen and he/she doesn’t want to get arrested on multiple charges
  3. You are in possession of stolen property (which is a crime)
  4. You need to take it to your local police station immediately and explain the situation

I sincerely hope that you have learned a valuable lesson from this experience.

Good luck! 👋🏼😉

You can't get around it. Activation Lock is an anti-theft mechanism that is designed to block thieves, fences, and anyone they might sell a stolen phone to, from using a stolen phone.

If the sender blocked you, that is a very strong indication that they scammed you – that they knew that they were selling a phone that was not properly prepared for a new owner, or, more likely, a stolen phone.

You can only (1) learn from the experience, and (2) report this seller. If you can get your money back, you will be very lucky; most people who are scammed in this way don't get it back.
