iPhone Wallet app not showing credit card transactions

My wallet app has ceased showing transactions for any of the credit cards in it. Is there a solution to fix the problem, and what is it? I am using an iPhone 17 Pro, iOS 26.2.1.

The reference to Google is only because you mentioned Android. Because the handle transaction data entirely different I felt a comparison and explanation was in order.

Have contacted at least one of the banks involved? Do you have an American Express Card? You’re the only person reporting this, so unlikely a software bug. Do you use a VPN?

Here is the specific data flow. Banks or card issuers send transaction details like merchant name, amount, and location to Apple’s servers after authorization. Apple processes this data and pushes updates to your iPhone’s Wallet app via secure channels. The info appears automatically in the card’s transaction list, stored locally in an encrypted database without iCloud sync for privacy.

A VPN could block channels, trigger security alerts or change IP addresses.

Google Wallet doesn’t have the privacy features that Apple Wallet has. Google knows where your friend shops, what he buys and how much he spends and which cards are used. Google then uses that information to target marketing towards your friend. Apple has no knowledge of any of that information.

If the bank doesn’t send the data, it’s not in your Wallet app.

Discover Card offers the most information followed by American Express. Every other bank offers varying amounts of data. I have cards with several banks that display almost no information. Most only supply the day, date, time of day, merchant and amount of transaction. Apple supplies a map with approximate location. Location is derived from crowd sourced information such as public WiFi.

Thanks for the reply. I thought I had responded earlier today from my phone, but I don't see it in the thread. I am in the US. The wallet app showed my transactions for several years without problem, but on a recent trip out of the country with friends I noticed that one friend's Android phone wallet was showing all of his transactions immediately, while mine has not shown any since last October. I have cards from different banks in the wallet, so I don't think the issue is with a bank (and besides, it worked fine for years until recently). I will appreciate any suggestions for solutions -- perhaps I have to uninstall and reinstall the app and reload the cards?

I don't have a VPN, and no, I have not tried contacting the banks about this issue. I have two Visa and one American Express cards issued through USAA (my bank), as well as a Capital One card through REI. But oddly, when I upgraded from an iPhone 14 Pro to a 17 Pro last September or October and reloaded the cards, the American Express card would not load (it used to be in my Wallet and displayed the transactions). I contacted both Apple and USAA about that problem, and each pointed the finger at the other, so now AmEx is not in my wallet. I have not bothered to pursue that issue any more.

Curious that I'm the only one reporting the issue, because before posting my inquiry I searched the Apple Support community postings and saw several from 2023 and before where people complained about not being able to see their wallet transactions, but all of those threads were closed.

I appreciate the attention to my request.
