Word for Mac: Fonts not embedding in PDF

When I save and/or print Word documents as PDFs the font does not embed.

For example, my current Word document uses Helvetica but appears as Times New Roman when I save or print it as a PDF.

As per other advice, in Word I have gone to Preferences, Output and Sharing, Save and tried all combinations of Font Embedding to no effect.

This has never been a problem before and I haven't consciously changed any settings.

Stats:

– MacBook M1, 2020

– Tahoe 26.2

– Word 16.105.3 (Microsoft 365 subscription)

PDF Not Showing Embedded Fonts:

eMail this to yourself as a PDF Document.

  1. Go to: File menu
  2. Hover Over: Share >
  3. Select: Send PDF
  4. Proceed from there with the eMail

Any difference? If so, I'd say it is a bug, and you should reinstall this. Contact Microsoft Support, informing them of this issue. I've had issues, and they've told me "This is your license, and it belongs to you." So, ask them about uninstalling it, and getting a new code.
