Printer Connection Problems - Double-sided print option enabled and cannot turn it off

Unable to Connect to Printer at This time - Error Code

Connecting a Canon LBP121/122 printer to my macbook pro macOS Tahoe 26.2 and it is failing to connect properly. It worked great one day and then one day it wouldnt connect. I removed it from my printers on the computer and tried to add it back and this is when the issues really started. For context, we have 3 other computers connected to this printer. I disconnected the router and then the other computers were then able to print to this printer, but my computer still wouldnt connect to it.

I tried uninstalling all of the drivers and restarting the machine followed by reinstalling the drivers from the canon website. When I go to add the printer back, it gives me this error code:

Many times the "Auto-select" option in the "Use:" section does not work. I could manually select the software and then the printer will connect but with limited options. When I try to print from it, it is stuck in double-sided printing and does not give me the option to turn it off/on.

I have spent countless hours messing with this and have tried everything that I have found. Is it possible that there is something messed up with the IP addresses which is making my computer the only one that cant use the printer properly?

Please HELP!!
