I video my mah jongg hands. I have the phone about 12-15 away from the rack. I cannot get this phone to focus like my 11 iphone. It zooms in and out. I've done everything I've read, and still no luck. I'd like to get rid of it.

How low a light level are you playing in? No camera focuses really well in low light.
Cameras focus using contrast. That means for fastest most accurate focus a well lit black and white subject would be ideal. How much contrast is in your scene? Can you post an example of what your iPhone is producing now?
What all have you read? I don’t know what you’ve read, so how are we supposed to know what to suggest and what you’ve already tried?
