Unable to open settings and some apps on ipad.

On my ipad my mail and facebook are working fine but when I try to open settings, messenger, calendar or apps store I get a spinning symbol in middle of page and it reverts to home screen asking for my code. It has taken me to recovery screen but that did not solve problem. Help!
