iPad frozen after update, Recovery Mode not working
Hi everyone,
I need help with my iPad (A16 model, no Home button). It froze after an update issue and now I’m stuck.
Here’s exactly what happened:
I connected my iPad to my PC to transfer songs using iTunes. While iTunes was open, it showed an iPadOS update and asked me to download it. I clicked update, and during the process I synced music. After that, I unplugged the cable.
Since then, my iPad has serious problems:
• The iPad still turns on and I can unlock it
• But apps do not open
• Settings does not open
• Swipe gestures (like swipe up) don’t work
• I cannot shut it down normally
• The system feels frozen or unresponsive
I tried:
• Force restart (Volume Up → Volume Down → Hold Power)
• Holding buttons for a long time
• Connecting to iTunes again
• Trying to enter Recovery Mode
But Recovery Mode is not appearing, and the iPad just stays in this frozen state.
It seems like the iPadOS update was interrupted and the system files may be corrupted, but the device still boots.
Is there any way to force reinstall iPadOS or fix this when:
- Settings can’t be opened
- Gestures don’t work
- Recovery Mode won’t trigger?
Any guidance would really help. Thank you.
