Apple Pay not working on account; unable to add cards

Apple Pay is not working on my account.

I can’t add any cards, even though they worked before and I have the latest iOS update. When I try to add the card it says:The card could not be added.

There was a problem adding the card to the Wallet app. You can try again later, or if the issue persists, contact your card issuer.
