Lost Iphone, with eSIM, erased from Find My, is eSIM removed after erasing, how to track now?

lost my iPhone 13 (iOS 18). It had an eSIM in it, and whenever the thief switched the phone on, I was able to get its location because the internet was enabled on the device. I’ve now erased the phone using "Find My" App. Does erasing the device also remove the eSIM? if yes how to track my phone now?

I believe it does. As for how to track it, you don't.

It's gone. You're never going to see that phone again.

Do NOT remove it from the list in find my. As long as it's in the list, it is activation locked and can't be used.

Do NOT respond to any messages indicating the device has been located, etc. The login links will take you to a phishing site that is designed to steal your Apple account credentials so the thief can remove the activation lock

I need confirmation on whether the eSIM is removed so I can use it on a new phone. If it isn’t removed even after erasing, I want to keep the eSIM in the lost device so I can continue tracking its location.

It is tracked without need for eSIM, even if they turn it off. Unless they could get into settings to turn off Find My Network, which they cannot. The only way it will stop being tracked is when it runs out of battery or gets put in a faraday bag (the most likely)

Find my is rarely successful in recovering stolen phones unless you have your own armed posse.
