I upgraded to Tahoe. Now when I click on the email icon no email comes up. I can get it off the google mail website if I need to, but that seems cumbersome. What do I need to do to fix this problem?

For GMAIL, you can go to System Settings, Internet Accounts, and look for GMAIL and your GMAIL account. You can either reconfigure it or delete it and re-add it (only do that if you use the GMAIL IMAP protocol). When you re-add it, all the old and new email should download.

Just to be sure - which "email icon" are you referring to? And what do expect to happen when you click it?
