Duplicate contacts keep reappearing on Mac, iMac, and iPhone

I keep on finding duplicate contacts even after merging them or deleting some of them. I have one macbook pro (Tahoe), one imac (2027 with the latest version of macOS for that desktop) and an iphone 14 Pro Max with ios 26.2.1. Anyone having the same experience?
