lucene-indexes folder that cannot be deleted

Apple Mail shows a "lucene-indexes" folder that cannot be deleted or hidden.

These only appear in Apple Mail and are invisible in other email clients.

Also, the email provider indicated that there are no such folders on these mailboxes.

How to hide / delete them?
