My elderly mother has an iPhone SE, and the Home button won't recognize her fingerprint anymore. We need to get into her phone to turn off the requirement for a fingerprint but, obviously, can't get in.
Is there any around this?

If finger print fails then after a few attempts the passcode entry is offered. Enter the passcode then go to Settings, TouchID & Passcode, then remove old and add new prints.
If you are saying they forgot the passcode then you will have to wipe the phone,
