iTunes not syncing only checked songs to iPhone

I am trying to sync only checked songs from my iTunes library to my iPhone. I have songs checked in iTunes that I can sync to my iPod and I want to have the same list synced to my iPhone, and only the checked songs. Currently all my songs will sync to my iPhone.

I have Sync Music checked in Summary, and the radio button for 'selected playlists, artists, albums and genres.' I have 'Sync only checked songs and videos' selected.

I have tried having 'Manually manage music and videos' checked and unchecked.

I still have songs that I do not have checked in my iTunes Library showing up in my playlist in Music on my iPhone.

For example, I will have used iTunes to rip a CD, and now all the songs on that CD sync over to my iPhone, instead of just the one song that I want, even though I only have that one song checked in Songs, in Library.
