Apple TV app unable to play content on Amazon Fire TV

I have a new Amazon Fire TV. Everything on it is working well except Apple TV. If I click to play a show, it’ll play the ad for another show and the recap of the previous episode. Then, I get a message that it’s unable to play. I then click to trouble shoot and a new message comes up that says it’s unable to connect and there is a problem connecting for playback. I have deleted and reinstalled the app, unplugged the TV and WiFi and restarted everything, cleared every cache in the settings I could find, and made sure the TV’s software is up to date and the app doesn’t need to be updated. Super frustrating! How do I fix this? Is this a problem with Apple on Amazon TV’s specifically? It worked fine on my previous Amazon TV, as well as my guest room TV which is a Vizeo with a firestick in it. I don’t get what the problem is or how to fix it.
