Magic Mouse (Lightning connector) not scrolling

Hi - I have an Apple Magic Mouse ( lightening connector for charging) and the left and right clicks work fine but unable to scroll. I have carried out all the suggestions to setup using Bluetooth etc but still no joy. I am using with MacBook Pro with latest operating system . If I use with a Mk1Magic mouse -it works fine but just can not get the Mk 2 to scroll. Should I send it to Apple for repair or just replace it. Thank you
