Numbers in Keynote charts are not visible when saved as PDF

I always create presentations in Keynote but when saving them as PDF I cannot see the numbers in a char. This is very frustrating as I want to share the charts but as a pdf. What can I do? I learned that exporting to PPTX and then to PDF works, but why use keynote then?
