How do I recover missing notes in the Notes app on iPhone?

What happened or what was enabled prior to notes dissapearing.

You can look on icloud if you sync the notes there and you can look at deleted folder on your iphone.

Have you deleted an email account from the phone recently?

Should probably include information about how, if you don't sync your notes and reminders to iCloud, you don't get all the nifty extra features.
