iPhone 17 26.2.1 cursor problem
when I touch the screen in Notes the cursor position is ambiguous. It doesn’t come to rest on the text I am touching or even the line or space I touch. It takes several touches to get it to set the desired location in the note

Have you tried this trackpad technique? Change Keyboard as Trackpad to move insertion point (Cursor).
Press and Hold the spacebar and move your fingers!
Thank you for the advice. It helps sometimes but other times it has no effect. It seems I just need to hit return to determine where the cursor has actually landed but then ‘undo’ if it lands at a bad position
