I recently upgraded my iMac to Tahoe 26.2. Now I have double folders in my "documents" folder. They ARE NOT from the icloud as I don't use icloud. How can I get rid of the doubles? I can't tell which are the original folders. I could delete the duplicates, but I don't want to lose all my files by accidentally deleted the "mirrored" folder copy. Please advise.

Control click ( secondary click ) the first duplicate folder
Use the Get info
Look for Size, Where and Created
Perform the same actions on the Duplicate folder
Provide a Screen Shot clearing denoting with folder is which
To post the images
Use the Image insertion tool.

First reboot your Mac and check. If still there then startup in safe mode and check again. This works sometimes.

The duplicates were in my Documents folder on my shortcuts bar. They appeared after the upgrade. After I inadvertently rebooted my computer to resolve another iOS upgrade issue, they disappeared. Thank you for responding.
