Private Relay incompatible with this network

To access the internet on this network, you need to turn off Private Relay. Turning off Private Relay means this network can monitor your internet activity, and your IP address will not be hidden from known trackers or websites.

Thanks for the note! It seems iCloud Private Relay might slow upload speeds (or maybe that is only an artifact?):

For example, with Private Relay ON, Ookla Speedtest reports 530/300 Mbps but if I choose Safari > View > Reload and Show IP Address before doing the test it reports 530/530 Mbps for my 500 fibre via Ethernet.

That said, I might keep that Private Relay ON default because I have not noticed any other upload slowdowns. Or maybe turn Private Relay OFF if I have lots of data to upload.

For the record: I now noticed that when using secure card login (Atostek ID) I need to use that Safari "Reload and Show IP Address" option because otherwise the website insists that the secure card app is not installed. Previously I used Firefox or Brave for the login and wondered why Safari fails.

But on the other hand Safari connects to a related quite similar website using the exact same secure card even with Private Relay ON so maybe the previously mentioned website is not properly configured.
