iPad Post Glass (iOS 26) Upgrade: Looking for my Safari Tabs
I recently and reluctantly upgraded my iPad Pro (12.9" - 6th Generation) to the Glass iOS v26.2.1. My reluctance was mostly due to the disaster of upgrading my iPhone 16 Pro to Glass as it destroyed my music library (still not fully recovered) and numerous other issues.
No disasters were apparent in the iPad Pro upgrade and there are many potent feature enhancements, so potent in in fact that their alterations of previous user experience behavior have left me baffled.
Glass previous Safari behavior was when you had multiple windows, each containing multiple tabs, three small dots appeared at the top of the window, touching them created a drop down menu and showed a parade of the various windows (showing the current tab open in each) at the bottom of the Safari window. Touching one of them opened that window and its tabs.
Those three dots have vanished and for now at least, my access to those windows and their tabs has vanished as well. I know that they are not deleted as I accidentally opened another one of them but I am not sure how I did this and I cannot repeat the action.
I've done a quite a bit of searching and reading but nothing seems to be about this particular issue. Part of the difficulty is an apparent change in Apple nomenclature, these windows with tabs now seem to be called 'Tab Groups' but I am not entirely sure of that.
I am a researcher and have quite a bit of research tucked into these windows with tabs, I'd like to recover them and going forward, make use of Apple's new windowing system - which looks exciting.
Any help in finding my work is much appreciated.
