16 pro max camera blur
Why is my iphone 16 pro max camera blurry? It only takes focused pictures when on .5, 1x, 2x or 5x. It does not focus whatsoever under dim light either.

Are you tapping and holding your finger on the subject on your screen? If so a yellow box will appear indicating focus is achieved and locked at that distance.
The screenshot below shows AF (Auto Focus) Lock and the yellow box on the focus point (exactly where the camera is focusing).
If you’re not able to achieve sharp photos using the above method you may be exceeding the physical (mechanical) limitations of your iPhone. For example, all lens will focus to infinity ( think beyond the moon) but each physical lens has a minimum focus distance within which it cannot focus. Objects inside the Minimum Focus Distance will appear blurry and out of focus.
