Unable to add watch faces from iOS Watch app

can’t add watch faces from ios Watch app anymore

a) “+” to add Watch faces gone

b) restarted - no change

c) unpaired, repaired- no change

d) I CAN add them from the watch, show on watch/phone, work fine

e) I CAN add them from the Faces tab in the app - show up on watch/phone, work fine.
