How do I fix dictation not working after iPad Air 3rd gen update 26.2.1?

dictation not working after update 26.2.1 on iPad Air3. I’ve tried everything under the sun that was suggested from turning dictation on then off, turning iPad off then on, turning Bluetooth off… Get it to work once or twice and then nothing again. Very annoying as I use it quite often in a variety of apps.
