Pages 15.1 and 14.5 (not supported?)

I now have two versions of Pages on my MacBook Pro, 15.1 and 14.5. When I updated to 14.5 today from the App store and tried to open it, I immediately got a message that said this version is no longer supported and I had to upgrade to 15.1. The dock icon is still connected to 14.5 (the version released last week), so that's the one that opens now and I no longer get the message that says 14.5 is not supported. The problem is that Pages does not appear to be autosaving my files anymore, and version 14.4 crashed twice when I tried to manually save my files. So I'm losing work. Just wondering what is going on with this. Worried that I will lose more work or there will be more conflicts between these 2 apps.

You should be using the 15.1 version. Yes you will initially have 2 versions and the message you saw says 14.5 you can now deleted, after you have update to 15.1. To remove it from your Dock, just click/hold and drag out. To delete the old version from your Applications folder, you will need to provide your Mac login Password. Pages is still supported on Mac OS version before 15.6 where the new Pages version 15.1 cannot be downloaded, and in that case you would not see this message.

Thanks, yes I do get that message now when I open 4.5. When I updated to 4.5 today (which just came out last week) I saw a message that read it is no longer supported. I have opened 5.1 and found it doesn't show my recent documents and at first it didn't show my custom made templates. I'm keeping 4.5 til I'm sure my documents are going to open correctly and be savable there.

The list of your Recently Opened documents in the File menu are cleared, but once you open them, they will again appear as a Recently Opened document. Your documents are still in the same place they were saved before and not affected.

All of my custom templates I had created previously appear on the Template page when creating a new document under My Templates. You do need to scroll down a bit and ones recently used do appear under Recents on that Template page.
