How to delete Watch app after no longer owning Apple Watch

I no longer have my I watch and I want to delete the app. How can I do that!

You cannot delete the Apple Watch app from an iPhone. The Watch app is a built-in (system) app in iOS, so Apple does not allow it to be removed — even if you no longer own an Apple Watch.


Since it cannot be deleted, you can remove it from view:


Option A – Remove from Home Screen

  1. Long-press the Watch app icon
  2. Tap Remove App
  3. Select Remove from Home Screen (not Delete)

This moves it to the App Library only.


Option B – Move to App Library Folder

You can drag it into a less-used folder or leave it in App Library so it’s out of sight.
